CSS is overwhelming? This tip will help you
I’ve brought you something different this week. One tip for you to make CSS a little less overwhelming.
I’ve often been asked how to get better at building large web page layouts. As a beginner, you learn CSS by practicing all the different properties on individual elements and small components. And you might build one big layout at the end of a tutorial.
That’s not enough to start building modern web pages right away. Everyone tells you to practice more, but nobody tells you how.
Here’s one tip I came across recently in this blog post by Deepak Pundir.
"Practice with old 2000s era HTML templates"
This is such a valuable advice. HTML and CSS is all about rectangles. Back then, everything looked like rectangles too, unlike modern design. So it was less overwhelming to bring a design to life.
